The Association of Friends of the Paris Salon d’Automne was founded in 1968 on the generous initiative of Pierre de MONNERON, art lover and friend of many artists, as well as that of Edouard MAC’AVOY, well-known painter and President of the Salon d’Automne at the time.

The Action of the Association

The Association was created with the aim of:

• Uniting Art lovers of all countries;

• Helping the Salon d’Automne in its actions;

•  Encouraging young creative talents;

•  Coming to the aid of artists in difficulty;

•  Giving prizes to artists of the Salon d’Automne in the various disciplines represented (currently in painting, sculpture, photography and engraving; for other years, prizes will be given to artists in other disciplines).
Joining the Association of Friends of the Paris Salon d’Automne

To help us realize our objectives aiding artists of the Salon d’Automne, and at the same time enjoying the company of other artists and helping your own artistic career, you who loves art and artists, you would love to become a member of our association.

• A free catalog of the Salon d’Automne each year;

• A permanent entry card for each Salon d’Automne;

• Three free invitations for 2 people for each Salon d’Automne;

• An original lithography of an artist from the Salon d’Automne, made especially for the members;

• Participation in the jury deciding prizes given by the Association of Friends of the Paris Salon d’Automne;

- You can join us at dinner-conferences known as "Café des arts", friendly meetings of great interest on a wide variety of themes to do with art and artists;

- You can visit important exhibitions and artists’ studios with commentary by the artists themselves;

- You can take part in group exhibitions in Parisian galleries;

- You can participate in cultural trips organized by the Association, either in France or abroad.
